Thanks everybody for your prayers and kind thoughts. Your responses have been great medicine for Phil!

He continues to improve - he has less pain, his appetite is getting better and they plan to get him up to walk tomorrow. He has a test scheduled for Friday morning, so we are hoping that he will be doing well enough to come home early next week.
