Answer to the original question. At my work we have a saying Quality never goes out of style. In the long run you will get more return on your investment with quality. I do check to see who is on the contingency list but do not nessarly buy parts off it knowing of the ones that are a pain in the butt to deal with. There are some good companies that do pay right away the few times I have receive contingency, K&N was the first to pay both times. At the next race I saw Steve Williams I went and thank him and he appreciated that and was going to thank his people for that and let them know racers appreciated it.
