Default Re: It's About Time (Not MPH)

Nothing exciting here, but I thought I'd do an update for the three or four people that follow stuff like this.

Kinda jumping around right now while waiting on machine work.

Engine out .Head to Kadar Performance for a dime rocket treatment.

Too cold right now to open the door and clean the engine compartment, so I did some body work to keep busy.

It doesn't look like it but I got a total of 230 pounds out of it, including airbags , heater, A/C, p/s ,wipers...the usual junk.

Cleaned some under the hood but need to get rid of a bunch of wiring no longer needed.

I managed to get all the rubber out of the mounts today.. Not easy, but I think I won that round. In my opinion, you can't mount an engine in a FWD car too solid, especially one with a clutch. I may still do more in this area later.

The shifter bushings were plastic and completely gone, as in not there.Replaced with bronze sleeves. Should make a huge difference.

Next up are some header pieces from a fellow racer up on the farm in Pa..
Soon as I get the head back we'll set the engine back in start on the header.
Also thanks to Phil at PMR for the front (rear) runner tires.
