Just an update
After input from S/SS racers the SRAC members sent a letter to NHRA to express concern and offer suggestions.
The letter included our concerns about the lack of participation at some National Events and how we could help get racers back to the races. This was considered our priority 1 for this letter.
Priority 2 was to express the concerns of many racers to review the (AHFS) with the ultimate goal of achieving a more fair way of targeting and administering horsepower and index penalties.

I received a very encouraging phone call yesterday from NHRA and was told that our letter had been considered and taken under advisement. Even though they had no plans to make any immediate changes because of the letter there would be some kind of review in the fall or after racing season.
We were encouraged to compile input and suggestion and submitted before the end of the year.

I would encourage anyone with suggestions or input to email them to your division SRAC representative Please send only suggestions you feel are for the betterment of the classes as a whole.Any personal agendas or horsepower request should be sent to NHRA direct. It will be very helpful if any input sent to SRAC members are accompanied by names and car numbers of racers that support the suggestions or input.
