Pacific, MO - outside of St. Louis
Chi-town, Fast Eddie & Marty Higginbotham, other possibilities are Kelly Chadwick, Mike Burkhart, Larry Colman, & Ted DeTar "The Kansas Badman" The one car looks more like a Cyclone than a Torino but I don't rember Fast Eddie having a car like that, so it's probably DeTar or Coleman in a Torino. Left to Right ? Chitown Higginbotham or Chadwick DeTar Last edited by John Major; 07-03-2009 at 01:37 PM. |

At first I was thinking York, but they are all midwest cars so I'm thinking it looks like Byron and Jack Ditmar is in the far lane, think the Chi town is next to him, check the Buick FC clear to the right, maybe Rix at a young age, lol .j/k

It is Byron
That is Jack Ditmar on the far left of the photo Chitown on the far right of the photo. I have a call into Ditmar and Ron Leak to see who the other 2 are.

I wonder how far away we are from bracket racing like this.
Could you imagine trying to lift and not breakout on 3 other cars lol.

Are you racing all three other people, or just the guy in the lane with your tree? If the former, how do you draw up a bracket like this? I mean, what's it look like on paper? Does CompuLink software understand this? And then, just how does it work? You have to wait for three other clowns to stage? What does "courtesy stage" mean here? Does everyone have to go -pre- before anyone goes -stage-? I have to look across way over there to see if I can go in? And when do you get up on the chip? Again, I have to look all the way down the line? Ugh... What if there's an ugly accident? Instead of someone breaking something and veering hard taking out just one other car, they can take out three other people? Then, what about the shutdown/turnoff? Who goes where/when? Imagine all the parachute tangles that are possible. Hard enough to keep out of the way of one other person some times... This seems like a real cluster to me. ![]()
