Old style traditional batterys should NOT be mounted lengthwise, or in line with the car. They have plates that can snap and ground into each other over time, on launch. It will kill the battery. I had this happen years ago on a 10.90 car. I had an Interstate Rep show me a cut away and explain it.
The new gel or glass mat batteries can be mounted in any direction, and I do not see any benefit to any certain direction. The "flow" of electrons does not care what direction the battery is sitting in. Good luck. Ken |
