Default Going to Cecil

Going to Cecil from the south, what's the exit and RT to go over the dam and bypass the toll on RT95 (5 axle toll is $48). Thanks Robbie

Robbie, call me on my cell or come by the house this evening.

I can tell you two or three ways to get to Cecil, but my advice, pay the toll! Especially with the motor home and trailer.

Tom and I did go each month for their Street Car Shootout. We just went on August 3 rd. The last couple of times, we went accross the Bay Bridge and went up Route 301. Not bad for your motor home and trailer.

Going thru Bel Air and accross the Conowingo Dam is hairy with a 102 serup. Also a lot of stop lights, hills and back roads.

this is what I would suggest. take 301 (turns into 896) to rt40. make a left and follow 40 to the turn (272). it crosses I-95 to the track. call if you want to. 301 is very smooth on this side of the bay and no traffic lights till you get into del..

Keith, have your tried turning on Route 313 west and going over to Route 213 to Route 40? It brings you out below Elkton at the Royal Farm. Big trucks use it and we have with Excursion and 26' x 102" trailer with ease.

See you at YB?

Just think of 1 more thing, Think of fuel mileage, I googled Goldenbeach MD to cecil county dragway, On 95 it is 117 miles, on 301 it is 143 26 miles more @ 6mpg x $4.00 fuel $18.00 +/- more in fuel if all these numbers are correct

is there a toll going 301 way? Started looking at fuel mileage and distance when I check trips now, not just tolls.

If you really want to get into numbers, RV rental companies charge at least 50 cents a mile on top of the daily rental rate. I use this figure for trips that sponsors are paying for, fuel cost plus 50cents a mile for tow rig wear and tear

but sometimes I would pay big $ not to have to go on interstate 95! plus Robbie said there is $48.00 toll.
p.s. bay bridge toll one way. that is all, not having to "white knuckle" it on 95, priceless!
