Default RJS Racing Suit

Anybody have experience owning and using a RJS suit or 2 pc set up? They are only an hour from me here in Michigan and I wanted to get some input from actual users of their products before I go down there. I went with Gforce and my family hooked we up with a full set up from Gforce, 2 pc single layer, all black. First 2 pairs of pants had mold or mildew on them, 3rd pair were brown with black cuffs and stitching and the 4th pair had the same mold/ mildew affliction. My Dad got new Gforce pants and gloves from santa as well and they were great. My coat and gloves were great, but the whole experience has soured me to their gear. They were great to deal with at the PRI show, I even called them ahead of time and they put a XXL coat in their shipping container for me to try on. I have a small data sample of working Gforce, so I am not trying to start a bash session on them or other gear makers, everyone makes mistakes or has issues, that is business, I just want some feedback on the RJS stuff. I want all black, no white cuffs or stripes for getting dirty reasons and the white stripes look to me, screams white tennis shoes and tucked in t-shirts. Thanks

I have an RJS suit. No problems at all. I would buy another one.

I'm sure 1320bracketracer will say something different. LOL!

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. I have never heard a cross word about RJS, but never really sought out feedback either.

The RJS pants fit *much* better than G-Force in my opinion, with more room where you need it and an elastic waistband, and deep pockets. That being said, I love my G-Force jacket from Summit.

Thanks Micheal. I like the Gforce jacket as well, it is rare for me to find jackets or shirts that don't hike up my arms when I move at all, and the Gforce 105 model jacket met that need.

I use RJS Jacket and Pants and like them very much. I have camlock belts and they will reweb (& certify) them for me every 2 years for $49.00 including return shipping. You won't find any nicer people to work with. Hope this helps.

The RJS belts are a good product and I own them, but the re-certification is only a one time event...still a great value getting four years use instead of the normal two years.

Another option to consider is the Pyrotect line of equipment... http://pyrotectstore.com/product-cat...-racing-suits/ I have yet to try their clothing, but they look first class. I recently purchased one of their helmets to replace an aging Bell and found it to be a superior upgrade. http://pyrotectstore.com/shop/pro-airflow-open-face/

Since other brands are being thrown out there I have to put a plug in for Sparco, contingency payers and great fit/quality. Biondo's is who I got mine from, always happy with their service.

Thanks guys. I have to try on clothes most of the time due to be being 6'4" 275lbs without carrying much extra. Pyrotec is a name I have heard and their products do look top notch. Sparco is a name that needs little introduction, but as of right now, I going to go local with RJS. If they don't have enough tent material to make me a race car driver costume, I will try one of those other above options.

Micheal, if I make it to the Novi show, I will look you up and check out your car. Have a good night everyone.
