As the season progresses how many people will just stay close to home? Look at the number at the Mile High Nationals, is that number from the expenses? And what will the end of the season bring. In Division 5 the distances are great as compared to other divisions what can the division do? Have more than one points race per week end? Or?

Doug,
I have been sitting this year because of fuel costs. We had a little S/SS combo in May at Oahe that I went to. My next race will be the Midwest Class Race at TV, Marion, SD in Sept. Then the NO at Oahe Speedway and possibly the NO at Kearney, NE in Oct. That's it! #5457 Curt Rees

We went to the division race last month in Denver simply for the points. The Mile-Highs have typically been a vacation week for us all, but not this year. We only went to the Summer Nationals at Topeka because we only live 150 miles away. We are going to try to hit all D5 races except Brainerd because of distance. We will hit the Topeka divisional, U.S Nationals the Earlville divisional three weeks in a row! For us, this is a huge amount of racing. With gas as high as it is and dad's shop being closed for so long, we picked a rotten year to try to move up in points! Engines don't get built when we're racing so it's a double-edged sword. As of now, we've cut all NO's and maybe D4 Noble.
