Default Buddy Ingersoll 1987

I saw Buddy's twin turbo V6 Buick Regal in Competition Eliminator but never heard of this Pro Stock entry. Photo taken at the 1987 Southern Nationals by a friend.

Wayne.

I don't know if the time slips backed it up but that car looked like it moved from 60 ft to 330ft faster than any door car I have ever seen.

I don't remember the year in the 80's but IHRA let Buddy run the twin turbo 270ci.ish V6 in mountain motor prostock at Bristol and he made them sweat. I was there watching and if memory and oldtimers serves me, Ingersol kicked everybody's butt except Glidden in pro stock. I don't think they invited him back after that. Don Jackson

The G Body Regal he ran before the above pictured car would carry the left front tire about 400 feet. It was way cool to see the left front tire about 2" off the track, stand still at the 330 clocks. And it for sure made a very hard move from the 60 ft to 330 ft area.

He was running Comp at the Ennis national about 1988 or so. The Crowd was roaring each time he ran.
