I know you need grade points to run at National events and all, but is it worth going to a divisional race if your car is not quite ready just to get the points? Also do you need to go down the track at all or just pass tech to get the grade point?
My car is not quite ready for S/ST ( not enough power), but will go mid 11's on the little motor still in it, It should pass tech easily, but wandering if it was worth going to the race witht he car just to get the grade point, or is it better to wait till the car is ready? I am trying to be able to race at the Gators next year in either the S/G or S/C cars we are currently building, as well as Atlanta and Indy. Thanks

To get a grade point all you need to do is pass tech and turn in a tech card.
I have witnessed this on several occasions with racers going through tech then loading back up and leaving. Go to a National Open if you are close to one. It counts as a grade point also. Good Luck |

I think I'd save my money and wait until the car is ready. I'm not sure but I don't think you can switch points from class to class ?

My only other option is to take my wifes 09 Mustang and enter it in stock, again will never come close tot he index, but should pass tech, can drive there, and then back home without the trailer.

check with your division office...I think the gradepoints acheived in another class can't be used in super street...super street can be used for other classes...but not the other way...

CBS, thanks, I am going to be using them in either S/C or S/G next year, but had some issues getting either one of the new cars done for the early part of Div 2's schedule.
I am hopeful that at least one fo the new S/C cars will be ready for SGMP, and I was already planning on missing Orlando, since it is the same weekend as the NMRA at Bradenton. So I just need to claim points for the first two races in either the wifes car, or my car that won't run the numbers.
