Wink Headsup Stk Elim Round Breakout?

Is it possible to have a breakout in a headsup stock elim round as in Rd 4 Phoenix, B.Burton Vs, S. Wann, both being E/SA cars! Burton won w/ .050 lite,10.828-105.83, to Wanns.036 lite,10.905-115.28, and they said Wann broke out! Misprint? Or am i missing something!! Senior moment!

Can't breakout in heads up.......you can break though! Looks like Burton got off it at the end., Wann must has spun, missed shift, etc.

Who are "they"? There wasn't any comment on that pair in the report on DRC.

Larry, I think John is referring to this week's Nat'l Dragster. In the fourth round run from the AZ nat's, it has Wann losing his E/SA run to Burton by breakout, the two ** next to Wann's ET.

** That does mean breakout doesn't it? I can understand as was stated wheelspin, etc, but to be marked breakout has to be a misprint...........Thanks Later................. John

It's an error and one I need to correct - we (FastNews Network) supply the "agate" results for Dragster. Our software does just what the stupid programmer (me) tells it to do. Nobody's ever mentioned that error before. Fortunately, I have this weekend off and I'll get it fixed, but probably not in time to prevent a similar mistake this weekend in Gainesville.

National Dragster always lists the loser of a heads up race in class elims as "breaking out". The only reason that I can figure as to why they do this is because, assuming no breakage or missed shift, the loser is always under the index. It confused me at first until I noticed a pattern with every heads up race. Just like the NHRA to add confusion to a simple issue.

It was an easy fix - I wish someone had mentioned it years ago (it's been that way for a long time).
