Default DRE engine dipers

I just unfortunately got to test one of DRE's engine diapers and i will have to say i will from now on not cuss while i have to put one on my car. I broke the motor at the finishline at Stanton today and it has a 8 inch by 8 inch hole in the block and a hole in both sides of the pan lost all the water and oil in the motor and not a drop on the track. I guess what im trying to say is his engine diaper pretty much saved me from crashing at the finishline and saved my car. THANK YOU DENNIS for a good product at a good price.

Not sure what happened or what went first but that was the motor we bought the car with and it had a ohio crankshaft rotating assembly in it. Who knows we will take it to Scmidts and get it apart and go from there. But im pretty sure nothing is salvagable in the short block just hope the heads are though.

Good to hear that, wish these things existed when I grenaded a motor in the top end and crashed 21 years ago! If you don't mind me asking, which model of DRE diaper were you using? Was it the Kevlar &/or SFI one?

BTW - are you supposed to run the diaper on the inside or outside of the starter? I'm using a cheapo one from Jegs, wish I had seen that the DRE was barely more expensive! I laughed when I read their website's description of fitting like a sleeping bad versus a suit, I definitely have the sleeping bag model!

Regards,

Our diapers go behind starter also they are sized to your engine not a one size fits all. Also if you see one of ours you will see it is worth the extra, also we repair and we build them over 5000 sold and not one failure call me 217-454-5289

JJ, did you call ryan a "big *** hole?" A little one once in a while..but a big one? Ouch. I too have tested Dennis' diaper (god that didn't sound good) and not a drop of oil on the track. Thanks for what you do, Dennis, we all appreciate you & your products.

Hey Ryan, Glad to hear the diaper worked as it should. Does your dad have a diaper on the Chevy II, if so does it still have the stock style oil pan with the drag link through it? I would like to put one on my ChevyII, but wondered how it would work with a hole through the diaper for the drag link. Thanks
