Question Re: 60's record holder Larry Sheppard

That wouldn't be the same guy who wrote the performance manuals for Direct Connection/Mopar over they years, would it. I don't recall if that "Larry" had 1 or 2 p's in his last name. He may also have/had a business related to Hemi's.

I see "L.S. Shepard" in my '77 Direct Connection manual.

Larry Shepard was an engineer for chrysler for many years. He wrote or edited the mopar manuals. He also was involved with performance parts getting them made and marketing them. He was a "gopher" with the Mopar Missle. I've know him since the early 70's at chrysler. I thought he was originally from the Boston area (he had that accent).
Last time I saw him was at the PRI show last December.

Rhino, I live in eastpeoria IL. I use to watch larry race at Boondocks in peoria years ago. The last time I heard anything he was at a chevy dealership in the parts dept. at Dennison Chevrolet. It's not the same larry the others are talking about. His anglia was called Agitator Anglia if I remember right.
