Default Seattle Sportsman Finals

Did anyone catch the sportsman finals on espn I cant believe Dan Fletcher broke right on the line in the Stock Finals. I bet if he didnt brake on the line he would have doubled up .

Not a chance that Lambeck would mess that final up. Doug was .026 and Fletcher was .079 and then broke. I think he may have known he had a broke car and maybe went up in hopes that Doug goes red. I am not crying for Dan as he has won way more races than anyone in stock and super stock combined not to mention his comp deal with Braun. Anytime you have almost 6 hundredths out of the gate and the relatively close dials. it would be hard for Doug to mess that one up. But then again crazier things have happened.

How did he do the burnout then? That might be right but it doesn't sound right.

I heard that also from someone here in Rochester N.Y. I have heard stranger things happen also either case Dan did some serious *** kick-in on the west coast. Dan is the best out there.

Ok here's the story.........Dan had pre staged and was waiting for Lambeck to stage. Lambecks light went on without him moving into the beam. The starter shut off both cars to check the staging light . They found something had turned the light on removed it and had them fire back up. Dan did not move from his pre stage but turned the pump off to restart the car and forgot to turn it back on. Just proving to everyone that he is human like the rest of us. Just an old guy who forgets things. Seems like he remembers more than he forgets though.

I agree he is the best out there. But he also gets two chances every race and he races alot. To be that good, you have got to be out there all the time, and remember that he has to do well in order to eat. If the fuel pump story is true then rest assured that it will never happen again. There's only 10,000 reasons ($) to remember the next time around. Either way. both Dan and Doug had good days. Thanks for the info Tim. I never would have thought that he would have forgot given his outstanding record. As they say "Stuff happens all the time-I hope it's not my turn".

Rob Youngblood had Fletcher in E1. Robb had a .030 light to Fletchers .031 light and Robb broke out with a 10.049 on a 10.05 dial. Fletcher was up .009 against his dial. Close race! Shows anybody has as good a chance as the next guy.
