Help for part of our racing family

In recent days many of the racers in the Houston area have become aware of the health problems of Frances Bush who with husband Mike have been a fixture on the NHRA scene for many years. Frances has contracted ALS disease and is currently under treatment in Houston. Needless to say everyone who knows "Big F" is hoping something good will come of this.
Frances has been a racer, a race reporter and a race ambassador since the 1970's. Her smile and infectious personality can't be forgotten once you've met her. Over the years Frances has taken many photos of all kinds of racers and race cars. One thing you could count on was her presence on the starting line when John Force made his burnouts! She loves John Force. They have even exchanged oil cans....don't ask!!
On Friday, April 9 at Houston Raceway Park we are going to have a benefit for this fine lady to help defray some long-term medical expenses.
Through the efforts of Dale Hulquist and Jerry Emmons the David Glenn Band from Nashville will provide the music. In addition Stan Holt and the Lupe Tortilla Mexican restaurant will provide some delicious food with donations welcomed. Roy Hunter will provide the pit space for everyone's enjoyment. A silent auction is also planned (donations also accepted).

Many of you know how much Mike loves this sport. He may have helped you in and among his travels. Now Mike's greatest love needs our support.
