I have been out of stock for quite some time. Is it legal to run an aftermarket seat or seats from another body style in stock. We are replacing the car that was stolen and it looks like we may end up with a bench seat that we don't want.

Floyd,
This is from the IHRA rulebook: Stock class UPHOLSTERY: Must have full factory-type upholstery, including front and rear seats when so equipped from factory, and factory-type floormats in place. No interior gutting permitted. It is recommended that driver’s seat tracks be bolted down. Rear seat may be removed when roll bar or cage is installed. Area must be carpeted. Sun visors optional. Class W may remove rear seat, provided the area is covered with carpet or approved material. My understanding on this, you can use just about any factory seats. Racing seats are not allowed. Now, in saying that, I've heard there are cars running in stock that DO have racing seats? I guess it just depends on where you run and how they handle tech.

Do a search here. There are many threads on the subject, after which you'll be thoroughly confused.

Mark, I have done the search and you are correct I am more confused now than ever. I know jegs offers a seat the reclines and has a slider but also has the holes for the harness. Cobra also offers this option and that was what I am looking for. Those seats look stock with the harness option.

I've seen many cars with incorrect seats BUT they were factory seats (as in O.E.M) just not for that car

About 460 volts should do the trick. Thanks Ed. You always seem to make things better.
