Given the fact that NHRA is not tipping their hand as to what they will do with with the DP / CJ boondogle, what is everybodies thoughts for the 2011 season. I believe they ( NHRA ) will not speak about it until this season is officially over. THOUGHTS ?

IHRA is looking even better if they (NHRA) dont do do something. Not only that but there are rumors of much better contengencies for 2011.

Now that Indy is over, they are no longer showing their potential. At least that's the way it looks this weekend. Who knows maybe no changes will be made.

The reality is nhra gains 10 or 20 new cars but the people in those classes park there cars. Net loss could be 40 cars, there are already a bunch of A , B and C cars for sale. Or just what Terry said, More people will run ihra. the new cars are in there own class and contingencies for 2011 will be higher. Everyone affected will have to decide for themselves but nhra has to make a decision, now or at the end of the season.

It sure is a shame that IHRA does not have any tracks in the NYC / NJ area as it would be an option. As of right now if NHRA does not straighten out the stocker mess, It will be bracket racing for me in 2011. I just cannot support what is happening to class racing in 2010. At the price of a competitve stocker motor I cannot afford to be legislated out of the eliminator at the whim of NHRA. Maybe we all should go to stick as it seems nobody has come foward with a CJ/DP stick combo. LOL

They'll do away with Stock and SS and run Top Dragster and Top Sportsmen. They don't complain (yet).
