I have to limit myself on the H.A.M.B. , it's just way too easy to spend 3 or 4 hours on there!
Not that that's a bad thing.

Thanks for the link. I had only seen one picture of that race previously. I wonder if it was any less safe than racing Monster Trucks in an indoor arena.

I've been to some indoor "street races" before in the late 90's. long warehouses work pretty well

Pics are from 63 or 64, a race like that today would be 9 times more dangerous with the speed/traction/power of today's cars, even if they only raced 1/16 mile.... might be able to engineer a solution for the fumes, noise could be handled, but how much indoor room (or how short of a distance) do you need to contain some cars that now cover the entire 1/4 in less time than most of these cars could accelerate to 60mph? LOL
