Is there someone that stands out as the most ferocious driver when the helmet is on? But would give the shirt of his back in the pits. Somebody that's a real competitor, and a real good person that would be the first to help fix your car. I feel these attributes are present in most racers that I know. But there are probably some extremes out there. Here's a chance to say some nice things about someone!

I would say most of the NHRA and IHRA racers are like that. Its their nature to be helpful. Their are a few in both associations who are one way though.

At the GatorNat's, a few years ago, I watched Billy Nees work on his class competitors car all thursday afternoon. He picked the guy up over 3 tenths. Then the next day, the guy beats Billy for class! Don't ask Billy though, he'll just deny it. We all know how grumpy he can be...........................right, Eddie?

I'd have to agree with Don.
I think Billy just loves the challenge, even if it might come back to bite him! And those of us who know him know, the odder the car [ or the owner] the more intrigued he is.

Billy was my first thought as well. Definitely for the off-track side of things. On the track, he used to be the most ferocious, but I don't think anyone's gotten him p*(&^ed off enough in awhile.

I would say Lawrence Line, focused on race day, has taken many a broken competitors trans.home ( incl. mine )worked half the night on it, had it back at 7am, and helped put it in.If your having problems at the track him or his boys are willing to help, seen it many a time. A real class act. gsa612
