Air loss in slicks

What is an acceptable amount (pounds) of air loss over a 24
hour period in a set of Goodyear radial 30/9/15 slicks that have
been coated (washed) with dish soap on the inside walls?

A few pounds (2-3)? None? More?

I run Hoosier radial 30/9/15, and get no air loss over a several day span...... I would think the Goodyears should do the same.....

Mickey 29.5 radials, no leak over ANY amount of time. Don't forget, 2 pieces wheels can leak bigtime..........................

There are a lot of variables between tires - compounds, construction techniques, etc.
When I bracket raced, I also "painted" the insides of the Phoenix tires I used back then with dishwashing soap because of varying air loss. Started with the Hoosier radials also in Stock but found out they didn't need it after I started getting them mounted at the races.

My 3-piece Holeshot wheels are silicone sealed from the manufacturer. But also check the metal valve stem seals and shraeder (spelling?) valves periodically.

I run every brand of slick over the past 2 decades and Phoenix are the worst for leakage, on the rims in 2 days with M/T coming in second.

I never soap my sidewalls, don't have to cause I run Hoosier slicks

Hoosiers don't leak air!

I have very little loss in my Hoosiers but dismount/mount can be hard on the sealant in 2 piece wheels that have aged some. Just spray some soapy water on the wheel itself to check for that.

Tomorrow or Saturday I will pull the wheels/slicks off the car (on
jack stands now) and dunk them in a large bucket of water.

The wheels are a used set of Weld 15/8 and they have holes in
the rims for screws, but I do not have screws in them.

every slick i have ever had and even the sticky street tires i have leak. i always figured it was because the screws?
