Default Volare headers?

I wounded the slant six in the aspen again so it's time for a V-8, Will A body headers fit? Will the slant six K member accept the V-8 spool mounts or will it need a V-8 k member. It looks like the v8 mounts will work.

TTI's A Body headers fit...course Mark Lelchook makes the perfect header for an F Body. I may know of a good stocker 318 that would make a good combo for you. Shoot me a PM if that's what you need. GTX John or others can advise on the K member question.

Schumacher Creative Services makes conversion mounts from /6 to V8 if you don't want the hassle of swapping K-members.

Hi : Hooker B/E 1 3/4 fit well....A Body same size fit OK. K member is different and easier to use conversion mounts. Marks headers are best
of course. Let me know if you need help on anything.

If somebody even asked...That's their first mistake.

wasn't me but i DID ask somebody that's been down that road...
cost me about 50 bucks more for the correct stuff over the bulltear mounts.

if there's ANY performance advantage to conversion mounts, it's way beyond me but i SURE don't want to get DQ'd over bs like that...assuming i ever get this thing running in the 1st place..

Tom ,
Once asked, maybe they determined the 6cyl K member would be lighter.
That sounds like a good reason to use it, to me.
I looked at the pics, and they look close enough to stock type mounts for a casual once- over in tech (especially on an AMC)
I just don't see you ever having a problem in tech.
Now, if it were a front type mount , motor plate ,or something obvious, then you WOULD have a problem.

x2 And you can get to all the spark plugs! I put slid mine up from the bottom right on my open trailer, zip zip zip! #7 is a slip tube, which simplifies the driver's side. Didn't have to move/loosen any steering stuff.

most b body headers fit. It just depends what you want to spend. Like John said the 1 3/4 hookers work fine with a collector change. I sure would be putting a 318 in it.
