With the absolutely disastrous construction currently on I-80, it'll look more like a parking lot.

We heard on the radio Saturday that they picked up that construction before the fourth of July weekend and will leave it picked up through July 11th. So both lanes will be open throughout the race.
Shouldn't be any worse than normal this week. Thank goodness! |

If the construction is going on you can get off of 80 at I-57 south to Sauk Trail west. That will turn into Laraway Road and will put you onto 53 a mile north of the track. It's about 25 minutes from I-57 to 53 that way.
