Cool Class runoffs

Since class at Indy, and every other National event,is a joke due to 1000' racing and
staging lane wheeling and dealing why doesn't NHRA just let them kill each other with no AHFS penalties. It's basicly useless now anyway. This way they can show what they've got.
Keep the AHFS for eliminations only.
It's not like NHRA doesn't know what these cars (and not only the new cars) are capable of.

The cars don't want to show their hand and hurt their chances in the eliminator. Live timing changed the whole game my friend. Everyone can see what everyone is doing at all times.

If they want to race to 1000' then no more 1/4 mile.If they want to race to 1/8 mile then
so be it.Eventually it might come down to 330' or maybe even 60' drag racing.
I think I'll uy a new house and only live in 3/4s of it.Maybe I'll put a nice pool in the back and swim in 2/3s of it.
At least we have a few guys who aren;t afraid to keep the pedal pinned for 1320'.

Since Ford has the shootout Milan the weekend before Indy for the CJ's will the CJ's runoff for their class winner for Indy. If your to check history you will find that Chrysler rented Edgewater on Monday or Tuesday the week of Indy 1968 to run off the predetermined winner for SS/A stick & auto of the US Nationals. History could repeat, the only thing that could screw it up is who goes to Milan or Bowlingreen points meet!
We will see

I was going to tell that, until I scrolled down to see Ralph beat ms to it. Was a joke then, and a joke now. How would you like to be told you have to lay down for somebody else? Somebody that paid for their own Ford could tell them to go fly a kite.

I'll be greatly dissappointed if Don Fezell lifts during class. He's a treat to watch.I think his
shoe is glued to the gas pedel.

cut the live timing, and ALL incrementals (including RT) off the et card & live broadcasts... then you will begin to return to real racing...
however NHRA has never attempted to FIX any issues within our classes they only CREATE issues...never fix one.

anyway WHO CARES ANYMORE... class wins are useless since they do not qualify you for the eliminator... WALLY set it up so EVERY CLASS was represented in the eliminator... and the dirt wasnt even patted down on his grave when the big bucks boys changed the last reason to build a unique car...

so NHRA can kiss my A** i have not been to indy since and wont go again, and it is a shame though, i raced from 1980 - 2008, won a few wallys (car won 17 i think between me and MJ) soon it will be 128 CJ's or DP's... which is what they want.

captain ranting again !
