Default Competition Plus Ford Racing article

This was quite interesting. The thing that became apperent to me was that Jessie is confused about the difference between "Soft Indexes" and soft HP ratings. OK Charlie lets hear your take.

Did he say they were adding "race seats" pending NHRA approval? surely he did not!

His problem is he just talks the talk doesn't know the walk! There big interest still is Funny Car, Ford thinks that Funny Car sells cars when the real interest in in the drivers, not cars that don't look like anything but Jelly Beans with 1964 Chrysler Hemi's! If I was running Chrysler I would run some adds about how Ford and GM were using the Hemi design in their Funny cars and also Toyota in Top Fuel!

Why not have "race seats"? The government motors entry has them, so I'm sure that NHRA will allow the FoMoCo and Italian entries to have them too. I'll bet they will look a lot better than a couple of Kirkeys just thrown into an otherwise stock interior. I wouldn't expect it to trickle down to the old stocker junk though.
