Default Thumbs up to the track prep at VMP!

A big thank you to the staff at VMP for the awesome track prep. Didn't matter when we ran, even with the sun beating on it all day, the track was consistent and great all weekend. We enjoyed being back at VMP. Stocker varied .006 in 60 ft all weekend and the Comp cars had some of there best 60 ft times of any track we have been on.

Allen Carpenter, who has previously worked at Farmington, Roxboro, and Union County, is the new manager there. Very hands-on (he's in one of Jack's pics, driving the track scraper machine), great with track prep and running a smooth show. I hope VMP holds onto this one!

I met Allen last night and he was a super nice guy. Again, track was great and it was a really well run race. I hope more people make an effort to visit VMP to race.

I agree they did a great job . They used the same disc thing to scrape the track , like the one at hagerstown . Which seems to do the job very well and its a big time saver too (the wright tool for the job) . The machine they used had one addon which was a torch to speed up the job which hagerstown just had a dics .
