Smile I never thought Super Gas was easy but ......

I never ever thought Super Gas was easy but Saturday I got some renewed respect for what you guys and gals do .While waiting to race I decided to go over and see some of my S/G friends - first stop was to be my lifelong friend Tommy Goldman and did I get an eyeopener - after breaking an engine he and and a great many helpers were changing an engine - his pit looked more like a Funny car area than S/G ...........you decide .I'm a dedicated racer but it sure was hot Saturday ............Kathy probably had one tired puppy on her hands that night .

Come on Jack, you've known him your (his?) whole life. No one works harder than Tom. If there's any way that he can race, he will.

Billy - You're so right - no one works harder than Tom - but let me tell you since you weren't there - it was hot -- very , very HOT- you can always tell if its hot - just look for Toms' bandana .And yes, I've known both Tom & Kathy many decades .

Jack, I personally would like to thank you for that kind observation in reguard to s/g and I'll add s/c and s/st.

For the most part, we dont have it as tuff as the stock/ s stock classes with the tear downs and such but every once in a while the ole bear catches up with us and kicks us in the butt.

No class is too easy...... or everyone would be doing it ! lol

Please remember what today is about ! Semper Fi to all my Brother and Sisters in Arms !

Big thanks to everyone who helped with the engine change.
altho we missed 1st rnd due to a problem after the engine was swapped, I cant thank everyone enough.
I will say this , I will never poke fun at my circle track buddies over their carbs with safety wired discharge nozzel screws !!......Mine were never out of the carb ,but never the less one came out on the return road and brought on the death knock!
Fotunately I was able to do a minor weld repair on the chamber ,replace a valve and put it back in today ! ....Amazingly no piston damage other than some small dings!
