"Big Willie" Robinson Funeral announced

My son told me that Big Willie's Funeral is going to be Friday at 1 PM in
Los Angeles. He talked to Bill Chaffin (SS Buick) and was told funeral
was being changed to a larger Venue and should be open to all.

I will post details and address later today after I talk to Bill directly. I am
staying in LA this week to attend and I hope to see a lot of Willie's old friends
and fellow racers at the services. Bill is talking about a car show or something to pay
for Willie's final burial expenses. I do not think Willie had very much of anything left when he passed.

Service will be in Inglewood @ 1 PM Friday

Church is right off 405 San Diego Freeway at

Florence Off Ramp. Bill Chaffin will text me exact address

later. Bill made 500 Shirts and is hoping to sell them to

defray most of Funeral and Burial Costs which he paid out

of his personal savings.

Do you know if Big Willie had any kids...I'm not sure but I thought I read this on another website that he had a daughter...Also, do you know if he had a will because I'm just wondering whats happening to his stuff from his estate...I also read that Bob Mosher will be restoring some of Big Willie's old race cars.

I do not believe Willie and Tomiko every had any children....
just his mother and a brother I never saw at Races are all that
I am aware that are living (might be some more).

There is pretty much not anything left of his personal property
as most everything was lost in his last couple years of traveling.
I'll ask Bill Chaffin about any personal property left but I am doubtful
about anything much remaining at all......

Obit in LA times said his mother,sister,brother were still alive.
Never meet them......possibly they live down South.Hope to
see some old friends at Funeral.

Funeral is at 321 N. Eucaylptus 90301 Inglewood
right north of Florence about a mile East of 405 at 1 PM and
everyone welcome! I hope to see some old friends and
swap a few stories.

John- Is there any address or place to send donations so that Bill Chaffin and anyone else could defray their own personal expenses with this matter? His generosity is overwhelming, and it would be really appreciated at a time like this. Thank you for your concern,as well.
