It dont pay it cost . My guest $2000 minimum if your lucky and dont break anything
Entry and INS $305.00 Gas for 6 rounds $100.00 Race oil $100.00 Fuel to track and Back $ 300.00 if you live within 200 miles Crew guy $ 70.00 Food for 4 days $ 180.00 Hotel for 4 days $ 600.00 two twin beds Tear down $ 200.00 for gaskets and parts New slicks $ 300.00 __________ $ 2055.00 if your lucky Stay the week add another $1000

Kind of like the days when they publicized a 100k purse and if you checked you had to run 4 kinds of wheels, 4 converters, 3 carbs, 3 ignitions, 9 oil brands and additives.... But thats what made the sponsors compete for our money. The fact you had choices...

I won class at Indy last year. The only cont. I had was VP for 50 bucks. And they didn't pay because I didn't have a reciept to send them from the race. All day in tear down at 100 degress priceless. Barry

In the 70s, 80s you could win $500-$800. for class,plus come home with a couple hundred worth of oil,gaskets,spark plugs,t shirts etc.Those were the days!!
