Nitroplate Stock/SS Shootout - July 26th & 27th, 2013 2

The 2013 Nitroplate Stk/SS Shootout presented by Autometer will be held on July 26th & 27th, 2013 once again at Numidia Dragway in Numidia, Pa. Next year the race will fall in between the Epping Lucas Race and the Atco Lucas Race so hopefully we can draw some of those Northern New Englanders down for the event as the move onto Atco after Epping.

Once again the event will have parking on Sunday (In case anyone wants to travel down from Epping) and then start on Thursday the 25th, the Free Test & Tune on the 26th followed by the Stock / SS Combo Race on Friday Evening. Saturday will of course be the Nitroplate Stk/SS Shootout presented by Autometer. To cap off the great event will be the FREE BBQ presented by Myself & the Donhausers. Sunday will be act as a Rain Date or Travel day for those who want to take everything to Atco for the next weekend.

I will have the pre-entry payment dates and amounts in the next few weeks along with times and payouts. Bob and I are still working that out but, I just wanted everyone to mark down the date so we can start to get prepared with Vacations, Travel, Etc for 2013. The Stk/SS shootout i'm guessing will be a combined race or is it
Stk vs Stk & SS vs SS ???

Also, Will there be "A Heads Up" if 2 cars in the same class square off or will both cars
have to dial ???

Pete,

The only Combo race is going to be held on Friday Night as Stock & Super Stock will be combined. Similar to the race that was held 2 years ago on Friday Night that got rained out. The event on Saturday will be separate as Stock will race fellow Stockers and Super Stockers will race Super Stock till the end then the winner of Stock & winner of Super Stock will meet to see who is "King of the Hill". There will be an additional cash prize involved in that race. Just something to mix it up a little.

As far as the "Heads-Up" runs go I'm still kicking that back and forth. I'll have an answer very soon!

better make sure the scale is working for the headsup runs! it wasnt during the CIC race this year!

That's what I'm still deciding on. Bob did say they were going to make some upgrades over the winter time to get ready for the 2013 bracket finals at Numidia. I know the staging lanes are on the list along with a few other things from what Vinny told me. If the scale being fixed is one of them then I will look into the "heads-up runs" but, right now Bob has been extremely busy up in New York with the clean-up after Sandy. I will have all the details shortly. Hope to see you make the trip back down from Canada Ian for the 2013 event.
