He was a great guy and loved class racing. All class racers are poorer from his passing.

Steve was a good friend and a true racer. Mutual friend Tony Saraceni introduced us in 1981 and he took a chance with me as an unknown writer/photographer. I wrote almost exclusively for him with Super Stock, Bracket Racing USA, Drag Racing USA, and Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords just about up until his untimely passing.

Steve, Thanks so much for the interest in my Roadster, and the kind words. Comming from him was very special and meant a great deal to me This was in Drag Racing Monthly November 1996 Photos by Dave Bishop and story By Steve Collison Thanks Steve

I met Steve down at MIR in Budds Creek Maryland for this Photo Shoot. He was very easy to work with, and was on top of his game....that was for sure! This was in Drag Racing USA May 2000 Photos and story by Steve Collison RIP Steve and thanks again!

I never met Steve Collison, but loved his perspective of Drag racing.
I couldn't`t wait to get my copy of Super Stock and Drag Illustrated.
It was the best door slammer magazine in the business.

He was a true asset to the little guy in drag racing. Super Stock Magazine will never be duplicated.

Steve was a great guy to talk to. Always upbeat. He used to come by the shop with his Mustang project. He would stop in just to see what we were up to. He was fun to watch when he was running at Atco trying new things for his next article.
