Question sub frame ???

my buddy has a 80 Camaro--- took the whole front end and subframe apart putting all new bushings ,body mounts, etc in--- blasted and epoxied the frame/suspension--- put it all back together lined up the subframe using the factory locating points and the front wheels are off to the right(pass side) about one inch--- WHY??? if you are looking at the front of the car looking towards the rear you can see the offset---measured the frame diagonally and both ways it is exactly the same dimension totally square the way its supposed to be--- measure the wheelbase front to rear both sides are the same dimension--- never looked at it before we took it apart so do not know for certain if it was this way in the beginning--- any ideas or is this normal--- car/frame does not appear to have been damaged in any way so we are both stumped--- any thoughts are welcome--- thanx FED387
