Default Steel shim head gaskets BB Chrysler

I just checked the price from Summit, 159.95. The last set I bought was 14 dollars, boy am I out of the loop.

Hi Art, I'll buy the Cometics, they are not much more. I am trying to cut a few corners since the next the next month or so is going to be tight financially, I figured they might have gone up to 30 or so but wow.

Mopar Performance apparently had an issue with their BB steel shim head gasket supplier a few years ago and they were being discontinued and the price went sky high. Since then they've re-introduced the .020" thick steel shim gaskets with a different part number and they're now made of stainless steel. The new number is P4286754 and Summit and Jegs show them today at $21.95.

Paul:

You probably know that the P/N you noted has a .025" compressed thickness. If that's what you need I'm not sure if there are any less expensive ones. As far as I know the gaskets from years ago were .020" thick and that's what the new P/N P4286754 gaskets are.
