Default MASGA, MASSA & MASCA results from Cecil County!

Cecil County Dragway – Rising Sun, Md – The Mid Atlantic .90 Series rolled into Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Md over the weekend for racers to get some test and tune in before the NHRA Lucas Oil Series visits this weekend. Jimmy Stack (Super Street), Earl Nichols (Super Gas) & Dave Long (Super Comp) Claimed victories on Saturday and Frank Quarno Jr. (Super Street), Nichols (Super Gas) & Frank Lauria (Super Comp) claimed victories on Sunday.
On Saturday Philadelphia, Pa resident Jimmy Stack kept his undefeated streak alive as he took down Lynn Haun in the final of Super Street. Stack took the advantage at the tree (.034 to .073) and lead all the way down the strip for a 10.881 to 10.873 victory. In Super Gas Wilmington, De and Cecil County local Earl Nichols Jr. took his 78 Corvette to victory over fan favorite George Donhauser. Nichols took a slight advantage at the start (.009 to .014) and parlayed that into a 9.917 to 9.889 victory. In Super Comp Dave Long out of Wallingford, Pa ran the table as he qualified #1 and took it all the way to the winners circle with a victory over Super Gas standout Lance Kreiger and his dragster. Long took a (.037 to .050) lead at the start and won a double breakout 8.892 to 8.878 victory.
After celebrating the annual pig roast on Saturday evening racers got back to business on Sunday. In Super Street Jimmy Stack was looking to raise his record to a perfect 19-0 but, Morris Plains, NJ racer Frank Quarno Jr. had other plans. Quarno took his 1970 Nova to a (.026 to .079) advantage and took it all the way to victory over Stack with a 10.887 to 10.860 victory. In Super Gas Nichols completed the sweep and took both trophies back up Interstate 95 with a victory over Kreiger. Both driver took the green with Nichols taking the advantage (.022 to .057) and a close 9.926 to 9.925 victory. In Super Comp Philadelphia, Pa and longtime supporter Frank Lauria finally sealed the deal with a victory over Tom Oliver. Oliver pushed the tree in the finals and went .008 red to hand the victory to Lauria who ran it out to a shut-off 8.972.
