After 40+ years of using black spray paint I have found Mercury Marine's Phantom Black to the best covering easiest to use. Available at most all boat dealers.

I used <gasp> Rustoleum primer and satin black in rattle cans. Seven years later, it is still fine.

Rattle can Krylon #1613 looks very nice....try it, you'll be suprised. And it holds up extremely well over the years. |

Epoxy primer in satin black. Very durable and easy to touch-up if needed...even use it on the roll bars.

Thanks guys, I figured the por15 was the way to go but seems paint is like asking what oil do you use, lol.

por 15 works best on rust, not clean metal. I would not use that.
I use rattle can paint like mentioned here. Doing it like that for many years, east touch up. |

You might consider powder coating. Really tough stuff.
