Default The passing of Larry Pauley

Larry passed away this past Monday. Larry was a long time Ihra tech official and drag racer. I was blessed to have had lunch with him just last week. Below are his funeral arrangements. Rest in peace my friend.

Larry was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and served in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member in the Cleveland Masonic Lodge #202 AF&AM, Scottish Rites Masonic Bodies of Charlotte, and Oasis Shriner. Larry loved drag racing and was a Tech Director for 22 years for the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA). He was the owner of P&H Transmissions, Inc. in Shelby and was an avid supporter of Crossroads Rescue Mission and The Master's House.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by a sister, Janice Scott; and father and mother in-law, Sam and Vernie Hamrick.
Larry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Freida Hamrick Pauley; a son, Eddie Pauley and wife Deanna of Shelby; cousin, Mark Aaron of Gastonia, who Larry loved like a son; sister, Margaret Runyon and husband Harry of Dallas; two grandchildren, Madeline Pauley and Dawson Pauley; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
