Live From US131 Pro-Am

I rolled in this morning to see the pits just about full. One note here: the US131 weekly cars are competing here today too. First time runs coming up in about 20 minutes. Stay tuned. Looks to be a good runout of class cars.

20 Stockers and 11 S/S cars made the first time run. Track was down about an hour with electronics issues. Second time run just completed.

Last night we ran until around 1:30 am. 2 cars left in super stock and 3 in stock. Plan is to finish Saturdays race starting at 9:00 am and then continue on with Sundays pro am. Currently not raining.

It's noon on Sunday and we are in a weather delay due to rain that came in last night. Still socked in with thick cloud cover but no rain in the last 2 hours. Track drying in process but it's gonna be a while yet. Weather should clear this afternoon.

Good news is the local bracket cars are done. They ends up splitting the money.

An all Oldsmobile final in Stock! When did that happen last ?

Jim Brehem takes the win over Jim Kaekel. Nice to see 2 locals in the finals.

OK. On to Race # 2. Still overcast with 81% humidity.

Stock Final for race # 2 is done. That's me the Runner Up with Winner Ben Wenzel. Lots of fun. There is almost 100 years of racing experience in this photo.
