Are there really that many IHRA only cars in that neck of the woods?

They should allow that at all events, some really cool classes in IHRA - Stock GT , Crate Motor ect. Wouldn't more cars be built and raced. I know somebody who is dropping a 1962 413 Max wedge Stock Eliminator motor in a 1973 Duster. He wants to race with us at events, car cab run Stock GT but he lives in Div 1
Just my 2 cents Will L |

Will, you might want to tell your friend that IHRA Stock GT is for 1980-newer cars with 1979-older engines, per the 2015 IHRA Rulebook. Unless this changed for 2016.

Never thought I would see an NHRA event that allowed the "other" IHRA class cars. Good to see tho.

I wonder how they will do the license fee? Will it be a one off type or pro-rated rate, or will you have to join and pay the regular fee?

With the abundance of Crate Motor stickers in this area it would be a good move to ensure a good turn out for sure.

We at the SSSSA have for the last two years allowed 1955 and newer cars to run in stock GT. It's only fair. And maybe some of those old stocker that are gathering dust will come out and play! Jim
