Default Accusump

Looking for some input on the benefits and best way to use the accusump in a stock eliminator 350 Chevy. I'm looking for the engine protection benefit but is it worth some horsepower as well and how many quarts of oil do you run with it in conjunction with a stock pan? 5 or 8 ? Is the filter adapter that Moroso makes the best way to plumb the lines? Does it increase bearing life much? Any other benefits?
Thanks for the input.

The are great for bearing life. We tore engines down and the bearings looked like new. We used the Moroso 3 qt unit and had the electric solenoid valve and used it to pressurize the oil system before starting.
