Anybody familiar with the compound ratings of Hoosier drag slicks(non radial). I am looking at getting a new set of Hoosiers soon, and was curious about any differences between the "CO" and "DO" compounds. The tires I am looking at are available with CO6, CO7, DO6, or DO7 compounds. I have used the 9x29 DO7s on my stickshift Stocker and liked them, I understand the DO7 is the "stick" compound, but I can`t find where the CO7 fits in Hoosiers ratings.

The "Soft" to Firm" chart is at the bottom of the first section. But you may need to call Hoosier directly to find out the difference between CO and DO.

C07 is a stick tire. Its what i run on my super stocker

Are you sure about that? All of the 9" Stocker radials are "CO" compounds and I've always heard that radial slicks and stick cars don';t mix, at least not on Stockers.

I believe "DO" tires are Bias and "CO" are radials.
We run CO6 on our High HP cars and CO7 on lower. CO7 last longer for us. Radials work fine on our 10 sec. Super Stock cars with Transbrake... ....Suspension must be working right. We are faster on Goodyears.

I thought lightweight radials = C06
I thought std. weight radials = C07 I thought bias - DO tires I checked on Website and it appears to reflect that as well.

I run a Hoosier 18237 lightweight bias. It is a c07 compound. Which is the firm compound. Works good with a stick.

In the 9" tire sizes the D07 is the stick compound. As far as the bigger size tires the C07 is the choice for stick cars. The D05 is the softest and usually has a tendency to grain up bad on a stick car.. So, for a stick car stay with the 07 compound and you'll be fine..
