Default AHFS changes after Phoenix and Houston

I see that BJ & Mike Graham and Alex Kadar/Mark Yacavone took a pretty good hit after Phoenix.

Horsepower adjustments following the CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals in Phoenix, AZ and NHRA LODRS event in Houston, TX

As the result of runs under the Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS) 1.20-second under policy at the Carquest Auto Parts, and LORDS event, the following changes have been made.

The horsepower rating for 1975 Ford Maverick, entries with the 302 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 129 currently rated at 139, has been increased by thirteen horsepower, to 152 horsepower; for Stock Eliminator.

The horsepower rating for 00-05 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, entries with the 207 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 170 currently rated at 174, has been increased by six horsepower, to 180 horsepower; for Stock Eliminator.

The horsepower rating for 2014 Ford Cobra Jet, entries with the 429 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 455 currently rated at 455, has been increased by twenty nine horsepower, to 484 horsepower; for Stock Eliminator.
NHRA's 2016 Automatic Horsepower Factoring System outlines that any run of 1.20-seconds or more under the index will receive an immediate index decrease or horsepower increase. These changes are effective March 1, 2016.

Congratulations Mike & BJ. I really appreciate your disregard for the AHFS and showing others how to let it all out as this is a performance based category. Most racers out there protect their little treasured HP ratings, but you have showed the way as a true competitor. Others should try to emulate you and brave through the factoring system. Let your race car show what it is all about. Thank you I commend you both.

As a side note, is it possible for you to go another 1.20 under so you can go play in T/SA. I believe that T/SA is a natural FFFord class. It would be great to see you and Summers battle it out. Thanks

Thanks! I have a Bass Pro Shop right around the corner from me. It would not have occurred to me to check them.

I'll try to keep that in mind in case it turns out I don't have enough ballast in the driver's seat...

While you guys are buying ballast from Bass Pro Shops, check out the moss on some of their displays. We supply all the BPS. If you could please send me a picture so I can see what they are doing with it. There are no BPS within 50 miles of me. Thanks
