My nova is wheelying a little more than I would like.. I have the calvert 90/10's currently but I am looking at getting the afco BNC's. I read somewhere I have to cut the lower control arm to get the shock up into the spring?? Is that true?? Not crazy about cutting on lower control arm..

You have to grind the hole in bottom for shock to fit through and weld a new piece for shock to mount to on bottom of control arm. It was any easy job.Call Randy Mans at Fast Shocks 612-306-5387 you wont be disappointed.

They build shocks for a quiet a few stock and superstock racers. I am sure Randy can answer that question to be 100% sure.

Yes Sir you are allowed to weld tabs on control arms for the shock mounts, and yes ya have to grind the hole out, tabs are better, ya have more meat to bolt to, then the tbar system, but have Santhuff's in stock with Tbars(for who wants to bolt in) and have mount kits as well. Give me a call 407-474-0898 Thanks Brian

You would not be sorry if you bought the Santuff shocks. I could not keep my front end down, and mine bounced on landings. Had QA1s, had them revolved. Bought AFFCO shocks. Same deal. Had them revalued. Same issues. Bought the Santuffs, cured it all. Much wider range of adjustments due to much different design. Others are all pretty much made alike. Santuffs will make you happy.

Not knocking Santuffs by no means they make a good shock, I went with Randy at Fast Shocks he hit dead on on my 79 Malibu with the afcos he built me. Controlled wheelies with no bounce. I know Allen Sherman and Jimmy Hidalgo have used Fast Shocks. Give Randy a call I think you will be satisfied with price, quality, and service.

Another positive feedback for Randy at Fast Shocks. With my Super 10 it does a nice, controlled wheelie then sets right down, no rebound.
