Default AHFS info for INDY

This is from the NHRA Competition Web Page:

"Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals Super Stock and Stock Runs Excluded From Automatic Horsepower Factoring System

As a reminder, the Automatic Horsepower Factoring system will not be used during this year’s Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals. As a result, runs made by Super Stock and Stock competitors at any time during the event will not count towards class averages, nor will they be used to trigger index or horsepower adjustments.

The AFHS will remain in effect for all other NHRA Mello Yello Series national and Lucas Oil Series divisional events."

NHRA didn't address runs of 1.20 under, which is part of the AHFS system, and state if that portion of AHFS was also suspended.

Hi Bob, I think that this addresses it. But, I'm far from fluent in NHRA-speak.

Hi Billy,

That's why I posted this............

I don't speak NHRA either.....

But, on the other hand this follows a fine tradition, of the NHRA, of not specifying exactly what they mean......

Thanks,
Bob

Isn't that what this means? -

"...nor will they be used to trigger index or horsepower adjustments"

Sometimes what they say is exactly what they mean. There is no AHFS in effect for Stock or Super Stock, for any run, during the Indy Nationals. Let the chips fall where they may!

OK OK OK

I looked back at last year’s INDY and Jim Parsons #1 qualifying shot didn't get him a horsepower hit....

I guess that no means no....

I am suitably humbled...

Mulry,

I've known you for something on the order of thirty-five or forty years and at no time, under any imaginable circumstances would I characterize your status as "suitably humbled!" The sight of that statement over your signature only makes me wonder what chicanery is working its way through your consciousness this time? What's going on?

Highest regards,

c

Chuck, I haven't known Bob for THAT long .It only seems like it.
I do know, that if he makes a statement, you need to look at it from the top, bottom, both sides, then flip it over.

Do ya really think that all the run data will be deleted?

Seems close to the DREAMEr/DACA immigrants situation, we'll see.

This is why you never show them all you have. It's not worth the worry!

Sean this is a sincere question not being a smart azz. If you don't run it all out at Indy then what do you save it for? It's the pinnacle of our sport and you want to show all your competitors all over the country what you got. Just asking the question not judging. Good luck at Indy.

PS if nhra used Indy data to hit combos going back on their word it would be bs
