Default "Live From" Englishtown LODRS

Good afternoon all, yes its me again. If feels like a just left Indy, oh yeah I did. We just pulled in about hour ago, there are about 75 rigs already in the stacking area. Track opens at 4pm today. The weather is supposed to be perfect for the weekend with temps in the low 70's and no rain.

When I got here I heard some bad news about a trailer that caught fire in the stacking area. John Kurzenberger races a '67 SS/FA Camaro. His 5th wheel trailer with a lounge caught fire while he was sleeping. He was with his wife and 3 dogs. They all got out safe and he was able to get the race car out and the dually unhook. The trailer could not be saved, he lost everything in the trailer, tools, part, tires and everything in the lounge. What a tough break for John. The first photo is John's car under a tree next to where he was parked, he pick the car a few moments ago.

Good morning all, with bright skies and cool cool temps, it should make for a fast day. If you are looking to set a record, today's the day.

Temp 61
Humid 60%
Bar 30.02
DA 600ft
Wind none.

We start at 10am here at Etown because of a noise ordnance. I'm going to try a live stream when Super Stock runs today so check the Class Racer face book. Facebook Link.... I will try to link it here too and let you know what time, but I'm thinking about 11:30 Super Stock will be up.

Fire Marshal said there was a kink in the propane line.

Wow, its been a horrible day for oil downs and race cars wrecking. We had a few oil downs, but more seriously, we had two wrecks. The photos below show what happen to the COPO. We heard that a tire went down.

The next incident was Lou Centolanza is his 69 Barracuda, he could not slow the car down and went into the safety net. they are still working on the net and we will be down for a while. Both drivers are okay.

I will have a qualifying sheets up for Stock and Super later today.

That's a really hard hit. It had to have spun around and backed straight into the wall. I'm guessing they could back-half it and turn it into a F/SS car.

I'm not sure, the C pillar is pretty beat up but anythings possible. The first photo is Lou Centolanza's 69 Barracuda before he went into the safety net. Doug Walker sent me that photo. He will post photos from today's action later tonight. Kalyn Guenther gave me the second photo of Charlie Malo before his crash. I have few batch's of photos from Kalyn Guenther, so stay tuned.

There were no qualifying sheets posted. Go to live timing for qualifying. http://www.nhra.com/results/2017/luc...ock-eliminator
