He is one heck of a driver and Darrin Christen was driving incredible the entire event. The final was the closest racing and best final by far in my opinion. Of course I am biased, but a .000 to a .002 and taking 2 thou at the stripe is a real eye opener. Hats off to both drivers. Wow.

I wish I was there to give some color commentary, but I couldn't make it. Wasn't too worried because he was in great hands with Gary Slaton. Gary has certainly shown his value over the years and last year was a great culmination of his efforts. Looks like they are off to a good start again this year.

The Emmons and their bunch are one heck of a support group for him. You couldn't ask for better cheerleaders. Well...maybe cuter ones, but Shauna was there and she helps the average dramatically.

The bad news is that they only let me sit in the car in the shop.

Congrats to Pete and Jacob Pitt , good jobs by both, but I was pulling for the bayou boys. Brett Candies, Darrin and Ross Laris( who won) T/D all did a fine job driving and all live within 30 miles of each other.
