Default Tech --teardown

Does NHRA do any tech inspections any longer for Stock/ Superstock? Been looking at the qualifing sheets from Baby Gators and just wonder how a 3200 lb car with a 500 lift style flat tappet cam and less than 400 cubes on a 9 inch tire can run 9,50s Has stock eliminator turned into a RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG class now or is it the fact that the NHRA had rather fill the field with the new Mustangs- Copos- And Hemi style cars that no one can tech except the factory guys. and they sure are not going to say their car is wrong...

Not looking for an argument but yes NHRA tear down racers that runs faster then 1.20 under their index. They knew how to tech every car. Just Saying

There are certainly some crazy combos and the weather was extremely quick and fast. Some of the cars like the DPs, CJs and COPO cars do have some combos that have blowers, so that can be a factor.

That being said, I don’t see any car going 9.50’s that fit your description so which car did you mean?

I don’t see Tech having any problem with teardown, there were a few at Gainesville for older and newer combos. I think a COPO even set a record.

Curious to hear more specifically and accurately what you mean? There are plenty of arguments that are good ones with how fast some stockers go, but I don’t find the connection to your comments here

We went through tear down last season for being in the top 3 in Stock points for Div 4.
Sure wasn't for being 1.20 under.

The effort it takes to run these numbers with this combo is beyond impressive. Congratulations.
