I've talked with Rick Green and gotten a PM from Jody Lang. Just curious how the rest of the guys and gals from Division 6 are doing during this uncertain time.
Looking forward to sharing some ice cream with Jim Devine again. Always a pleasure to talk with him. Either comment here or send a PM. If you want to call my home phone is 2 five 3 - nine 4 too 9027. 10 a.m. til 8 p.m.

Hi, Ron. I fried an engine last season and took advantage of the hole under the hood to continue my quest to get my car legal for something in SS. It's currently legal for SS/CS if it will run the index. I replaced the broken BOSS 302 block with a Dart Sportsman and kept the N351 heads. I switched to a Crane cam with a 351/302 SVO firing order and it sounds really strong. I rebuilt the Holly 750 that gave me fits last year and seem to have it under control. I was a lot more careful assembling it this time and we will see if it pays off. I need 10.30 on the 1/4 and 6.68 on the 1/8 mile to class race.

My usual racing schedule every year is to be putting the motor back in the car three days before Boise so just being ready to race with no time to test. For once in my life, I had everything ready this year way ahead of time including doing some tow vehicle upgrades. Everything is ready so just parked and waiting. Regarding my sideline header building gig, that is crazy busy. I figured a lot of people would cancel or delay but it seems to be quite the opposite, busier than ever.

Hey Ron.
Been working away on the Camaro when I can. Sue and I moved over to our Peninsula home to minimize exposure to the Viruse in King County. So Its a couple of hours to commute and a Ferry, ride to get to the shop. No more breakfast on Saturdays with all the guys, which is a bummer. Looking forward to making some hits and see what I have to work with. Made a lot of changes over the winter, including paint. Hope to see everyone out at the track soon. Steve Teeter. M/SA Stk 620 |

Thanks to all who have responded to this thread.
I just got off the phone with Tom O Loughlin. Tom called last evening and I was busy and missed the call. I picked up my phone this morning and he had left a message. I called back and we talked for quite a while. Great guy and very nice of him to call from Division 1. I now have another friend. Good luck to you all and hope and Pray that we can all make it through this crazy time. Hey Steve what color is the Camaro now. I loved it satin black.

Ron
it's 1970 Camaro OEM, Mist Green. When it first went on I thought, " oh no I really screwed up this time". But once I got all the stock emblems on, the rocker trim, etc, I changed my mind. I wanted something different and it is that. As long as it's FAST, that's all that matters. Steve Teeter STK M/SA. 620 |
