Default Sunoco equivalent

Sunoco cross for VP C11? I know that Supreme is the cross for C12 but I have a dish 305 chevy stocker which would likely benefit from C11 vs C12.

What is the compression ratio of your 305? Sunoco Standard is 110 octane.I wouldn't think you would more than that.

Renegade R11 is pretty close. Our LT1 liked it but had a lot of problems at fuel check. We were told by their distributor here in D4 they were aware of the problem and working on it. So those problems may be resolved. Anyway it was easier for us just to purchase Sunoco blue at the track for both cars.

Or Sunoco Surge. Seems to be difficult to get. I think many Sunoco distributors don't stock it.

It's a shame NHRA took it away from the approved fuel list after allowing it for 1 season. The few people I know that tested with it saw that there was some potential in it. They never really gave a reason for taking it away either.

Jaime,

I run both C-11 and Sunoco Supreme in my low compression 73 340. The only performance deltas I’ve ever discerned was that the Sunoco likes more timing…

Someone needs to contact NHRA and see why it was removed from the list.

When C-9 was removed from the list (several years back) I asked Bruce B why and after 2 weeks he got back to me and said nobody was using it? I was #1 Qualifier with it! (probably not due to the fuel). But you do realize that Sunoco is the OFFICIAL fuel supplier - right!! I now use C-10 in the Jeep
