RJ,
I don't know but it runs E-F-G. It's a LS-1 rated at 340hp. in a GTO same engine in a Firebird is rated at 364hp. How many years do you think it will take the AHFS too figure out it's performance potential when it already knows? lol. Welcome the FI cars back to the regular stock classes. |

That would be Jack Matyas. Heard it's a first class piece too; of course all of Jacks cars are.

The LS1 in the 04 GTO has no fresh air package, unlike the Firebirds and Camaros................. Atco had mineshaft conditions during the test runs, minus 650' 30.09" baro and 24% humidity.........The car was @ 10# weight , and we were lite . ......Tom

Tom,
The Firebird with auto trans are all rated at 364hp with or without ram air. Jack should be able to ambush all the guys planning on running JR STOCK or E-F-G/sa. |

At 3910# , I doubt Jr Stock is in the GTO's future. There is'nt enough room for that much lead!!! Personaly, I'm looking foward to a Heads up run between Jack's GTO and Tex Miller,s new 71' Mustang I finished earlier this year. .........Tom

GTO's are way cool. Glad to see them back! It was nice to see Bill Eadelis run his 70 GTO with the original Pontiac 400 LS-1 (yes the Pontiac RA-IV was the original LS-1). Of course all GTO's are hit with terrible weight as he was about 3600lbs.
I cant wait till the 2009 Firebirds come out ![]() Lynn
