Default Updating fuel injection

Is there any power to be had? By updating fuel injection from a older system like a commander 950 to a newer system like a HP, Dominator, FAST ect ect. Or would I better off spending that money somewhere else?

That's kind of like asking if there's any power in carbs..I remember buying an new Q-Jet every winter. Had to have one "just in case". If what you have with your FI is set up really well and follows the target, doesn't have peaks and valleys in the WOT part of the map, then no, you probably aren't going to be in love with much. Most of the old stuff is not set up very well as its lots harder to do.The new systems make it so much easier to get everything out of the tune.Plus three times as quick to set them up.They incorporate a built in data logger, killer shifter programs, nice retards for every gear, comparison tools to quickly compare multiple tunes against one another, idle spark timing that chases your ide to help make it stable and the 02's are quicker at making changes to keep the exhaust on target. Also Injector end tables are available to play with in that you input all your camshaft data/intake runner lengths data and the Holley tries to time the best injection squirt timing. Kind of fun to play with, we have had luck with this on some engines others not so much.

Humor a newb question on this. My Escort is running the factory ECM with a backpack plugged onto it. Does a Holley ECM have in it's software the ability to run closed loop @ WOT? The benefits of the Holley system that Jeff is talking about sure make it sound attractive.

Any aftermarket system should be able to run closed loop at Wot.
